TAC Jazz Audition 2026/27

Auditions for 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 (𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗝) 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲/𝟮𝟳 are approaching, and registration is now open for dancers who are ready to challenge themselves, strengthen their technique, and grow as confident, expressive performers.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗝𝗮𝘇𝘇 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 (𝗧𝗔𝗖𝗝) is the Pre-Professional Jazz division of TEAMdpa, designed for dancers who wish to excel in Jazz through advanced training, performance development, and competition opportunities.

Through structured Jazz training, TACJ dancers will develop their technique, stage presence, musicality, showmanship, versatility, and confidence as performers. Training will focus on areas such as turns, kicks, leaps, jumps, coordination, strength, flexibility, stamina, rhythm, dynamics, and body control, with exposure to Broadway Theatre Jazz, Lyrical Jazz, Commercial Jazz, and Contemporary Jazz.

TACJ dancers will also be part of a committed training environment where discipline, teamwork, attendance, and dedication are important. Additional rehearsals, workshops, or intensives may be required where applicable.

Selected TACJ dancers can look forward to opportunities such as:

* Potential selection for the 2026/27 TEAMdpa Scholarships

* Singapore and international pre-professional competition platforms

* Overseas immersion programmes

* Training by selected DPA full-time teaching faculty with extensive experience in choreography and competitions

* Being part of our award-winning Troupes in a caring and supportive DPA environment

* Preparation for internationally recognised CSTD / ATOD Jazz examinations and certification from Australia

* Opportunities for competitions, masterclasses, workshops, and dance immersions, based on readiness, suitability, and availability

TACJ dancers continue to achieve strong results, including yearly Top 3 awards and a high percentage of Honours achievements in Jazz examinations.

This audition is an opportunity for dancers with passion, discipline, and commitment to step into a more focused Jazz training pathway and grow towards their fullest potential as versatile performers.
