Audition 2026
Elite Classical Ballet and Contemporary Soloists Audition
The Apprentice Ballet and Contemporary Company (TAC) is the Pre-Professional division of TEAMdpa. It focuses on specialised training for Soloists in Classical Ballet, Contemporary and Jazz for outstanding Apprentice Team students. To be selected as a TAC soloist, dancers have to be part of The Apprentice Team (Troupe Competition) later on.
*The prerequisite to be part of troupes is not required for PSLE, O’ Levels and A' Levels Students and Soloists with multiple items.
The Apprentice Contemporary Company (TAC) dancers are required to attend a weekly group class according to the genre they have been selected for,. Optional for dancers of age 14 years and above with extensive experience.

Important Information:

We seek your understanding that, due to high demand and limited spaces, only the top 70% of dancers, based on audition scores, will be selected. Selected dancers will then be assessed and placed into either Class A or Class B accordingly for Ballet and Contemporary,

Please note that Soloists selected for the TAC are not required to register or pay for the Troupe Audition later on. You will be automatically included in the Troupe selection. However, you must still attend the Audition day so we can assess Troupe standards and consider you for additional items such as Solo, Duo, Trio, and Ensemble in other dance styles like Lyrical, Acrobatic and National. Results for the TAC bsllrt and contemporary audition will be released by 21st July 2026. If you are not selected for the TAC, you may then register for The Apprentice Team Troupe Audition.

Elite Troupe Competition Teams Audition
At Dancepointe Academy, we are dedicated to providing exceptional Dance Education through our TEAMdpa Talent Program; The Apprentice Team, tailored for selected outstanding dancers to compete in a Troupe setting. This programme encompasses several age-specific levels:

Teeny Apprentice (6-7 Y/O)

Youth Apprentice (13-15 Y/O)

Senior Apprentice (16 Y/O and above)

The Apprentice Team Dancers can look forward to the following opportunities:

Apprentice Team Troupe training sessions are subsidised up to 50%.

Weekly Acrobatic Dance training

Additional Items in Solo, Duo, Trio or Ensemble in dance styles such as Lyrical, Acrobatic and National in addition to Troupe dance item

Registration for the Apprentice Team Troupe Audition closes on 25th August 2026. Any late registrations will be reviewed case by case. Note that the dancers would need to learn the videos before attending the Audition. *A video will be sent out on the 30th August 2026 for the candidates to learn and present during the audition. All auditionees will be guided by a teacher who will be going through the dance routine during the audition.
