Performance Development Programme

Dim the lights, draw the curtains and grace the stage! Join us for our 2026/2027 Performance Development Programme as we embark on this journey to newfound performance skills and more comprehensive techniques.

Through this programme, we hope to:

• Enhance the dancers’ technical and performance abilities by encouraging them to explore and experience more comprehensive dance techniques and performance-based training in Ballet, Lyrical and Jazz. For dancers of age 12 and above will train in Contemporary.

• Provide dancers with performance opportunities on various platforms such as public events or professional stages by invitation and allow for growth as a performer

• Instil self-discipline, motivation, determination and perseverance in every dancer 

• Develop the dancers’ confidence and help each and every dancer achieve their full potential 

• Prepare them for the next dance audition

The training will focus on body posture, increasing flexibility, gaining strength through conditioning and building movement vocabulary as well as performance quality and showmanship in a holistic and nurturing environment.

PDP dancers will have the chance to gain invaluable stage experience by participating in external events, including public performances. Additionally, they will have the opportunity to shine at the annual PDP Graduation Showcase every August, which serves as a platform to celebrate their growth as performers. To honor their accomplishments, each dancer will be awarded a Certificate of Achievement and a Medal during the graduation ceremony.

****Additional Ensemble Competition Opportunity

In addition, dancers who were evaluated during the audition and placed close to our expected benchmark will be offered an opportunity to join an Ensemble item in the Lyrical style at an additional training time. This item will compete at one Competition platform in October 2027.

2026/2027 PDP training will start officially on the following dates from November 2026  - September 2027:

Registration for 2026/2027 is open from 1st September 2026 to 1st October 2026.

*External students are welcome to register, but must enrol with Dancepointe Academy to be eligible for the programme.
