One DREAM One TEAM
One DREAM One TEAM – TEAMdpa Graduation Showcase Cum DPADC in Support of Children’s Cancer Foundation
Over the years, Children’s Cancer Foundation (CCF) has helped many children and their families at different stages of the illness and recovery. As a school, Dancepointe Academy believes every child deserves a future and would like to contribute our effort towards this meaningful cause. This will be our 3rd year for fundraising event and this year, our goal is to raise $10,000.
We are hoping to inform you of our fundraising mission, as well as to potentially enlist your support. There are multiple ways you can support this meaningful event.
Date of Event : 28th & 29th August 2021 at NUS UCC Theatre
1) Participate in the TEAMdpa Graduation Show (Live stream via YouTube) and showcase your outstanding talents in Solo, Duo, Trio or Troupe dance items that we have spent the past months in training. There will be a special Guest Performance from The Presence Project Dance Company.
2) Any Donation(s) that you can offer. Every $500 or $1000 donation will also entitle you to Half or Full-page Advertisement space on the e-Programme Booklet. It can be used for corporate marketing or simply words of encouragement to the Charity Event. Your Company logo will also be featured on Dancepointe Academy’s social media. 100% of the gross donations will be donated to CCF.
3) We are delighted to announce that this show will be made more exciting with the additional programme, i.e our very own DPA Dance Challenge (DPADC 2021). We are proud to be able to bring our talents back to the stage and give them once again the adrenalin of a LIVE Judging Competition.
Our renowned judges will be none other than:
a) Ms Rosa Park : Former Principal Dancer of Singapore Dance Theatre
b) Ms Cheah Mei Sing: Former Company Dancer of Singapore Dance Theatre & Former Head of Dance (SOTA). Currently she remains actively involved in the arts as a member of their Dance Faculty.
c) Ms Melissa Quek: Head, School of Dance & Theatre (Lasalle College of the Arts)
d) Mr Peter Gn: Senior Specialist (Dance) and Founder of The Presence Project Dance Company
e) Ms Yiliang: Choreographer from The Danz People
There will be fun and enriching Dance Workshops conducted by these prestigious judges after the show. With your support, $2 from every registration fee collected from this event will be donated to CCF.
We hope you are equally excited and eager to share the learning of empathy with our children and the value of contributing back to our community through this event.
May our joint efforts continue to benefit and comfort children and families impacted by childhood cancer.
We thank you for your support in our mission : Dance as an Education.
