Lilian Ng

Biography

Ms Lilian Ng is a Registered Teacher of the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) and had taught RAD Classical Ballet Syllabi in Dancepointe Academy since 2013. She is one of the pioneers of Dancepointe Academy Shen Yang, China, where she introduced RAD Classical Ballet Syllabi to the city. She had built deep bonds with Dancepointe Academy, Shen Yang and it was her most memorable years of teaching experiences. Ms Lilian Ng is currently teaching Classical Ballet and competition teams at JCUBE branch.

Eversince her returns from Shenyang, she has been assisting the Apprentice team for past five years and her items (Solo, Duo, Trio, Ensemble and Troupe) had achieved numerous awards in the local and overseas competitions such as Get The Beat, CSTD and Hong Kong Dance Challange Cup. In 2021, her Teeny Apprentice Classical Troupe clinched Gold award in Masterpiece in Ballet Competition (MIBC) and 3rd position in CSTD and GTB.

Ms Lilian Ng works hand in hand with Ms Lena Foo to lead the West “The Apprentice Company”, preparing elite dancers for Pre-Professional competitions. The West TAC dancers have achieved good results in recent competitions such as YAGP, AGP, WBGP, MIBC, ISTD, Canaan etc. She attends Variation masterclasses with different international competition judges to gain most up-to-date skills and shares it with her students.

Ms Lilian Ng started her Classical Ballet training under Ms Lena Foo and had achieved straight distinctions to RAD Advanced 1. She has completed RAD Advanced 2 and is awarded Associate of Royal Academy of Dance (ARAD). In her younger days, she was selected through auditions to participate Ballet Associate Course (BAC) in Singapore Dance Theatre with the Artistic Director, Mr Janek Schergen to widen her horizons.

In addition to Ballet, she also danced Jazz and Contemporary dance in her younger days.

Some of her personal dance achievements include attaining:

• Honours Plus for (ATODI) Jazz dance at Silver Medal level in 2011

• Honours Plus for (ATODI) Jazz at Gold Medal level in 2012

• 1st Position for Contemporary troupe in Perth Dance Competition 2013

• 2nd Position in Contemporary troupe in Singapore Dance Competition 2013

• Silver medalist Classical Soloist in Hong Kong Challenge Cup in 2018
