Chee Wen Ting

Biography

Ms Chee Wen Ting started learning ballet at the age of 7 as a CCA in her primary school. Throughout her junior schooling years, she has participated in various concert performances as well as representing the school as a group to take part in competitions like Singapore Youth Festivals (SYF). This has sparked her further interest in Classical Ballet and upon graduating, she joined Dancepointe at the age of 13 under the tutelage of Ms Lena Foo. She has completed RAD Graded Examinations for Grade 5 to Grade 8 and Intermediate. She is currently pursuing Advanced 1 Vocational Graded Examination.

Ms Wen Ting was exposed to different genres of dance such as Contemporary and Jazz, when she was part of Dancepointe Academy’s Senior Apprentice Team in 2015. The team travelled to Barcelona, Spain to compete in Europe Grand Prix Dance Competition 2015, and has attained Overall Champion, 1st in Contemporary, and 1st in Ethnic. She also had the privilege to be part of the immersion programme, where she attended different dance classes conducted by various instructors in well-known schools like Institute of the Arts Barcelona (IAB), as well as Pineapple Dance Studios in London. The team also competed in CSTD Singapore Regional Dance Competition, and has achieved 1st in both Contemporary Group Open Category and Freestyle Group Open.

With the opportunity given by Ms Lena Foo, Ms Wen Ting has been an Apprentice Teacher since 2014. Her passion for teaching grew with the knowledge and experience gained from assist-teaching with various teachers in Dancepointe.

Ms Wen Ting is now part of RAD CBTS Teaching programme and will be based in Dancepointe @ Hillion.
