Ashley Tan

Biography

Ms Ashley is a senior ( Level 1 ) RAD Registered Ballet Mistress with Dancepointe Academy.

She has been teaching in the school since 2016.

Ashley’s passion for dance started at the early age of 4 years old. Under the tutelage of her ballet teacher Ms June Lee , Ashley received distinctions for her RAD graded and vocational exams.

She also got the opportunity to represent Singapore in the Shanghai arts festival back in 2010 and received dance scholarship and awards in various dance summer school programmes.

When she entered polytechnic, Ashley explored different dance genres to widen her dance knowledge. She has performed on numerous stages some of which includes SG50 National Day Parade, SING50 , Asean Para Games Closing Ceremony and more.

As her passion continues to grow, Ashley picked up her first teaching and choreography expereince in Republic Poly Leaps Production.

After graduation, she decided to pursue teaching in primary and secondary school dance CCA’s. Both schools received the Gold Awards in the Singapore Youth Festival.

Ms Ashely is currently in charge of Team DPA NETA together with Ms Boh. They have groomed many Teeny Apprentice dancers whom competed locally and overseas. The team has received many awards and placed in many competitions.

Ms Ashley’s favourite phrase to her dancers.
