Elite Classical Ballet and Contemporary
Soloists Audition
The Apprentice Company (TAC) is the Pre-Professional division of TEAMdpa. It focuses on specialised training for Soloists in Classical Ballet and Contemporary for outstanding Apprentice Team students. To be selected as a TAC soloist, dancers have to be part of The Apprentice Team (Troupe Competition) later on.
*The prerequisite to be part of troupes is not required for PSLE, O’ Levels and A' Levels Students.
The Apprentice Contemporary Company dancers are highly encouraged to join an optional Contemporary class which train their skills in Contemporary Techniques besides Classical Ballet on a weekly basis. (Only for 9yo & above, in the national year that they will be competing)

Train by selected DPA full-time teaching faculty who have extensive experience in choreography and performance.
Important Information:

We seek your understanding that only top 10% of dancers (base on scores) will be selected during the Audition due to high demand and limited spaces. Another 10% of dancers will be selected for our second team, The Apprentice Company II (TAC II), where they will train to compete in one or two competitions as a Solo or Duo.

Please note that Soloists selected for the TAC or TAC II are not required to register or pay for the Troupe Audition. You will be automatically included in the Troupe selection. However, you must still attend the Audition day so we can assess Troupe standards and consider you for additional items such as Solo, Duo, Trio, and Ensemble in other dance styles like Lyrical, Jazz, Acrobatic, National, or Demi Character. Results for the TAC audition will be released by 15th July 2025. If you are not selected for the TAC/TAC II, you may then register for The Apprentice Audition.

Elite Troupe Competition Teams Audition
At Dancepointe Academy, we are dedicated to providing exceptional Dance Education through our TEAMdpa Talent Program; The Apprentice Team, tailored for selected outstanding dancers to compete in a Troupe setting. This programme encompasses several age-specific levels:

Teeny Apprentice (6-7 Y/O)

First Apprentice (8-9 Y/O)

Junior Apprentice (10-12 Y/O)

Youth Apprentice (13-15 Y/O)

Senior Apprentice (16 Y/O and above)

The Apprentice Team Dancers can look forward to the following opportunities:

Apprentice Team Troupe training sessions are subsidised up to 50%.

Potential recipient of the 2025/26 Bursaries (TEAMdpa Financial Assistance Plan) and Scholarships

Singapore and Overseaa Competition Platforms

Weekly Acrobatic Dance training

Additional Items in Solo, Duo, Trio or Ensemble in various dance styles, in addition to Troupe dance item

Train by selected DPA full-time teaching faculty who have extensive experience in choreography and performance.

Registration closes on 25th July, 2025. Any late registrations will be reviewed case by case. Note that the dancers would need to learn the videos before attending the Audition. *A video will be sent out on the 30th August 2025 for the candidates to learn and present during the audition. All auditionees will be guided by a teacher who will be going through the dance routine during the audition.
