Ariel Tay

Biography

Ariel has been immersed in the art of ballet since the tender age of six, laying a strong foundation for her dance journey. She successfully completed the Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) syllabus in classical ballet, achieving Advanced 2 in the RAD vocational grade syllabus under the tutelage of Ms. Cindy Toh.

Over the years, Ariel has graced numerous stages, participating in concerts and competitions that have enriched her with invaluable performance experience. Her unwavering passion for ballet has driven her to continue dancing and sharing her love for the art form with younger generations.

A dedicated educator since 2016, Ariel began by relieving ballet classes before expanding her teaching repertoire to include creative movement classes for preschoolers. Her commitment to nurturing young talent led her to establish her own classes in 2018, where she expertly guided students through the RAD Classical Ballet syllabus. Under her tutelage, many students have achieved high merits and distinctions.

Ariel’s coaching extends beyond the classroom, preparing students for prestigious competitions such as the Supreme Dance Competition, Singapore Challenge Cup, and International Arts Festival (IAF). Her exceptional dedication was recognized at IAF Singapore 2024, where her ballet trio received the top score in their age group, and she was honored with the Outstanding Teacher Award.

A firm believer that “everybody can dance,” Ariel emphasizes that a dancer’s true essence lies in their drive and passion. Her bubbly personality and engaging teaching style make her lessons both enjoyable and educational, fostering a love for ballet in every student. Ariel takes great pride in passing on her skills and knowledge, inspiring the next generation of passionate young dancers.
